Hi, I’m Vincent

I was born in Hong Kong and moved to New York as a teenager. I lived there for a long time, shuffling between boroughs while chasing an elusively favorable rent:value ratio. Recently, my wife and I made the (terrifying, if we're being frank) decision to move up to Maine.

How I Like to Work

My preferred process is tried and true—it’s what has worked for me and the folks I’ve worked with. It’s a three-pronged approach to problem-solving.

  • Simply: define the problem at hand. At an agency, we get specific requests from clients. Often reframing the request helps clarify real issues and needs.

  • Research yields insights, which contextualizes our problem and points us to an initial vision upon which we can build our detailed strategy and approach.

  • Working through designs and testable outputs—from detailed IA through to prototypes, launch, and beyond.

How I Like to Lead

My approach can be summed up in two words: Be Human. More specifically….

Assume the Best

Without strong, good-faith belief in each team member, achieving trust will prove challenging. Be their ally and their champion.

Embrace Differences

Whether in personality, goals, or team/department. Get to know everyone because what works for Gina may not work for Greg.

Keep Nudging

Growth is tough, but important. I aim to guide people—gently and supportively—past the boundaries of their comfort zone.

How I Like to Spend My Free Time

Since the move to Maine, I've been embracing my proximity to the area's natural beauty. Much of my free time is spent out and about, whether at the botanical gardens, one of the many nearby nature preserves, or just walking in the area surrounding our house.

I'll typically have my fun—and very opinionated—sidekick with me, alerting me of any dangerous squirrels or errant ball-shaped rocks.

Outside of this, I'm an avid jigsaw puzzler with limited ability, and a longtime follower of European football (West Ham supporter, for my sins, if you’re curious).

I'm also starting to dig into the live music scene out here—and I’m particularly excited to report that my favorite local sandwich shop has started having performances once a month. It might not be a classic combination, but perfection comes in many forms!
